Dunnage Bags

Dunnage bags, also known as air dunnage bags or inflatable bags, are large air-filled pouches used to stabilise, secure and protect cargo during transport. They effectively fill empty spaces between items in a shipment or between cargo and the walls of a container, truck or railcar. This prevents the movement and shifting of goods during transit, reducing the risk of damage and breakage. Inflating dunnage bags in situ provides the best results although they can be inflated beforehand and inserted into voids later. Dunnage bags inflate and deflate within seconds.

A compressor and inflation gun is required to inflate our dunnage bags. These are sold separately.

What are dunnage bags made of?

Our dunnage bags are constructed with two components, a kraft outer and an inner polypropylene laminated layer which come together to provide robust protection to goods in transit. Woven polypropylene lamination on the inside provides high resistance to punctures and moisture, while the kraft paper outer provides high tensile strength.
