Clear polythene sheeting, also known as plastic sheeting, dust sheeting, polythene sheets, or poly sheets, is a versatile product used for applications across a large variety of industries and for general use around the home and garden. This includes protecting items of all shapes and sizes from dust, dirt and scrapes whilst in storage or transit, or against damage during renovation and redecoration. Polythene sheeting on a roll is a useful product for removal and transport companies to keep in their vehicles for the quick and easy wrapping of furniture and household items. Heavy duty polythene sheeting is widely used in many outdoor tasks such as greenhouses and for protection against the weather during building works; we supply our heavy duty polythene sheeting on a roll for ease of use. Waterproof and water resistant, our polythene sheeting is centre-folded on a roll for ease of storage. It is manufactured from low density polythene in four grades.

Light-Duty Polythene Sheeting 

(120 gauge, 30 micron) Ideal for protecting floors when painting and decorating - and for light duty general wrapping for storage and transit. The two metre width is folded in half, so the roll is just one metre wide, but opens out into two metres.

Painting and Renovation

Polythene rolls work great as a drop cloth or dust sheet to protect furniture, floors and other surfaces from dust, drips and loose debris. Medium-Duty Polythene Sheeting 

(240 gauge, 60 micron) Can be used for floor protection during redecoration work or to protect gardens when doing ground works. Also suitable for medium duty general wrapping for storage and transit.

Landscaping

Plastic sheet rolls serve well as a weed barriers under mulch or gravel, preventing weed growth while allowing water and nutrients to reach the soil. Depending on your landscaping requirements, heavy-duty polythene sheeting could also meet your needs better.

Heavy-Duty Polythene Sheeting 

(480 gauge, 120 micron) Suitable for heavier-duty floor or garden protection, when doing extensive ground or redecoration work. This heavy-duty plastic sheeting can also be used for heavy duty wrapping for storage and transit. Suitable for heat shrink.

Agriculture

Our plastic sheeting is perfect for covering crops in greenhouses and hoop houses. It offers protection from the elements while allowing sunlight to pass through, and also works great as temporary storage or silage covers to preserve fodder. If you work in agriculture and handle fruit and veg, milk and dairy products, or plants, our ventilated stretch wrap is just the thing for you. Our ventilated stretch wrap has perforations in it to allow airflow to palletised goods, protecting against condensation and mould while keeping them fresh. 

Extra Heavy-Duty Polythene Sheeting 

(1000 gauge, 250 micron) Often called "builder's polythene". These strong rolls offer exceptional puncture and burst resistance. Suitable for heat shrink.

This product is manufactured from recycled material. Occasionally this can affect the level of clarity of the polythene. Please note: Our rolls of polythene are centre-folded for ease of storage - it simply unfolds it as you unroll it. For example, a 2438mm wide sheet of plastic would be folded in half and come on a 1219mm roll.

Construction and Remodelling

Poly sheeting acts as a vapour barrier which prevents moisture from getting to walls and ceilings, protecting insulation and structural elements. It can also be used for temporary enclosures and dust barriers. We stock a variety of products that may be useful within construction, including our rubble sacks, which are great for disposal, and our FIBC bags. These are perfect for storing and moving large quantities of powdered and granular materials, such as stone, cement, sand, gravel and more. 

Industrial Applications 

In industrial applications, plastic sheeting is often employed as plastic cover sheets to protect machinery and equipment from dust and moisture, as well as for containing spills and hazardous materials.
