What is a Large Producer?

You are classed as a Large Producer if the following apply:

• Your latest annual turnover is greater than £2million
• Your packaging handled is greater than 50 tonnes

What data do you need to report?

You will need to report your obligated packaging for the period of 1st January to 31st December of Calculation Year split across two periods.

Your packaging data will need to be split by packaging class:

• Primary– packaging around a single sales unit
• Secondary – packaging grouping a number of sales units
• Tertiary – pallet level packaging
• Shipment – outer or transit packaging supplied to households

Also separated by packaging material type, whether it has your own branding on, and all weights must be reported in kgs.

When do you need to report?

You will need to report your data biannually:

• 1st January to 30th June data must be submitted by 1st October of Calculation Year
• 1st July to 31st December data must be submitted by 1st April of Obligation Year
