Do I need to comply?
To determine if you are required to comply with EPR, you must meet the following criteria:
- Is my business a UK registered company?
- Is my turnover above £1mil?
- Do I handle more than 25 tonnes of packaging?
You can comply in 2 ways depending on your turnover and how much packaging you handled in the year preceding the obligation year:
Large producers have a full obligation biannually, whereas
Small producers have annual reporting obligation only.
If your business has a turnover of less than £1m or handles less than 25 tonnes of obligated packaging, you are not required to register. However, Kite can assist you in monitoring your packaging and conducting an annual review.
