Mini Air machine

The Mini Air machine can produce a variety of air cushions, which that are versatile and can be used for a wide selection of packing tasks.

Here are some step-by-step guides on how to use air cushions to fill voids, block and brace, protect corners, wrap products, layer and cross-layer. We've suggested which type of cushion to use for each, but this can vary depending on the product you are protecting and the space that needs to be filled.

Please read the Mini Air handbook (included with the machine and available to download in PDF form here) for full instructions on how to correctly set up the machine. Air volume and temperature settings for roll type can also be found on the side of the machine.

Using air cushions for void fill

Mini Air Filler cushions are ideal for void filling. See how to use them to fill voids around your product.

  • Select the filler void fill product that you want to use and inflate the air cushions.
  • Place your product into your box.
  • Fill the box with your selected void fill product.
  • Once all voids are filled, the box can be securely closed.

  • Select the layering product that you want to use.
  • Inflate the air cushions.
  • Place the air cushion material between your products as you place them into the box.
  • Additional air cushions can be used as shown to fill remaining voids.
  • This material can also be used for cross-layering.
  • Place 2 strips of quilt small cushion in a cross formation and place your product on top of the cushion.
