Foil insulated packaging for temperature-sensitive deliveries

Protect chilled and temperature-sensitive products throughout storage and transit with our range of foil insulated packaging.

Available as foil thermal pouches, insulated box liners and complete insulated box sets, the range provides businesses with a lightweight and convenient way to create a temperature-controlled environment around their goods.

Our reflective outer material helps reduce heat transfer, while the insulating internal layers help protect products against changes in external temperature. Choose between standard and premium constructions depending on the level of insulation required.

Suitable for businesses shipping food, drink, pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive products.

Standard or premium foil insulation

Choose the level of thermal protection that best suits your application.

Standard foil insulation

Our standard construction combines a reflective BOPP outer layer with a double-lined bubble layer.

The reflective exterior helps reduce heat transfer while the bubble layer creates an insulating air barrier and provides additional cushioning for products during transit.

A practical, lightweight solution for temperature-sensitive deliveries where additional thermal protection is required.

Premium foil insulation

For increased insulation, our premium construction combines a metallised polyester outer layer with bubble insulation and an additional HDPE foam layer.

The foam provides another insulating barrier while offering good resistance to moisture and chemicals, making premium liners particularly useful for more demanding temperature-controlled applications.

Foil insulated box liners

Turn a conventional corrugated carton into an insulated shipping solution using our foil box liners.

Available in four sizes, the gusseted liners open into a box shape and fit inside compatible cartons to create a protective thermal barrier around the contents.

Simply open the liner, place it inside the carton, add your products and coolant where required, then use the peel-and-seal closure before securing the outer box.

Their lightweight construction and flat-packed design make them much easier to store than bulky rigid insulated containers.

Box liners on their own

Already have suitable cartons?

Purchase our foil insulated liners separately and use them with compatible boxes from your existing packaging operation.

This provides a flexible option for businesses that already stock corrugated cartons or want to manage their box and insulation requirements independently.

Complete insulated box sets

For an easy all-in-one solution, choose a foil liner supplied together with a correctly sized double wall cardboard box.

The strong corrugated outer carton protects against impacts and handling during distribution, while the foil liner creates an insulated environment around your temperature-sensitive goods.

Complete sets remove the need to match liners and cartons separately and are ideal for businesses introducing temperature-controlled packaging into their operation.

Foil thermal pouches

For smaller products and consignments, our foil thermal pouches provide temperature protection without requiring a full insulated carton.

Their envelope-style design provides a lightweight and space-efficient solution for products such as smaller food items, ingredients, samples, pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive goods.

Each pouch features a peel-and-seal closure for fast, straightforward packing.

Choose between standard bubble insulation or premium bubble-and-foam insulation depending on your requirements.

Complete your temperature-controlled packaging

For enhanced thermal performance, combine foil insulated liners or pouches with appropriately prepared ice sheets, gel packs or water ice packs.

Coolants can be positioned around the product to help maintain the required internal conditions throughout storage and transit.

The appropriate combination will depend on factors including:

  • Required product temperature
  • Transit duration
  • External temperatures
  • Product mass
  • Amount of empty space within the package
  • Quantity and type of coolant used

We recommend testing your complete packaging configuration under conditions representative of your distribution network before use.

What are foil insulated box liners used for?

Foil insulated box liners are suited to a wide range of temperature-sensitive products, including:

  • Fresh and chilled food
  • Meat and fish
  • Dairy products
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Meal kits
  • Ingredients
  • Beverages
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Healthcare products
  • Other temperature-sensitive goods

Their flexible construction makes them particularly useful for ecommerce, food distribution, pharmaceutical supply chains and other businesses sending temperature-sensitive products through parcel and courier networks.

Why use foil insulated packaging?

Compared with bulky rigid insulated containers, flexible foil liners provide an efficient way to add thermal protection to an existing packaging operation.

They arrive flat, require little storage space and can be quickly inserted into compatible cartons when required.

Businesses can choose between individual liners, smaller thermal pouches or complete liner-and-box sets, making it easy to select a format appropriate for each type of shipment.

FAQs

What is the difference between standard and premium foil insulation?

Standard products use a reflective foil outer with a bubble insulation layer. Premium products include an additional foam layer for increased insulation.

Can I buy the insulated box liners without a box?

Yes. Foil box liners are available separately for businesses that already have suitable cartons, as well as in complete sets with compatible double wall boxes.

Can I buy a foil liner and cardboard box together?

Yes. Complete insulated box sets combine a foil liner with a correctly sized double wall corrugated carton.

Should foil box liners be used with ice packs?

For chilled applications, foil liners are commonly used alongside ice sheets, gel packs or other suitable coolants. The amount and type required depends on the products, transit time and required temperature.

What products are foil thermal pouches suitable for?

Thermal pouches are particularly useful for smaller temperature-sensitive items where a full insulated box is unnecessary. This can include food, ingredients, pharmaceutical products, healthcare goods and samples.

Are foil box liners supplied flat?

Yes. Their flexible construction allows the liners to be stored flat before being opened into shape and placed inside a suitable carton.
