What is air shock?

Air shock is a premium void fill alternative to bubble wrap, foam fittings or any other in-the-box protective packaging. It comes as pouches and each of these is made up of rows of isolated chambers of air, cleverly designed so that if a small tear does occur, it will only burst one of these chambers while the rest of the pack remains unaffected.

Manufactured using LDPE, these transparent air shock pouches clearly display products within them and offer effective shock absorption thanks to their sturdy, burst-resistant material.

What are air shock pouches used for?

Air shock is used to protect fragile goods in transit. It provides 360˚ of protective air cushioning, ensuring parcels arrive at customers’ doorsteps in the pristine condition they were sent in by the seller. Once inflated, 98% of the pouches’ content is air, making them perfect packing for air freight as they are light and do not add to the weight of the packages.

How do you use air shock pouches?

Kite’s air shock pouches arrive flat packed and can be inflated as and when they are needed. Each pouch features a plastic valve for easy inflation, simply attach your air compressor or pump and inflate within seconds for use. The air shock pouches can be inflated prior to use with goods inserted afterwards, or, goods can be added first and then the pouches can be inflated around them.

We also sell a variety of compressors and inflation kits dependent on your needs. Kite’s gun inflation kit is quick and easy to use. It works by attaching the pouch to the compressor and using the trigger mechanism to operate. Our desk-mounted inflation kit is great for high volume users. To use, connect one valve to the compressor, the other to the foot pedal and press down. This pumps air into pouches and they are ready for use. We also sell a small and large compressor.
