Our Compliance Division donated £1,000 to Coventry Foodbank to use towards their Commercial Kitchen
During
2020 many individuals and families faced hardship and the reliance on food
banks has soared in Coventry. Our Compliance Division are delighted to be able
to donate £1,000 to the Coventry Foodbank who works to tackle food poverty and
hunger through local community networks.
Gwyn
Williams from the charity gave our Compliance Division a tour of their site and
explained the importance of not only providing food to local community, but
also offering support with; employment skills, overcoming language barriers,
and help accessing support that is available to them.
The donation from the Compliance Division will be used towards a new commercial kitchen, which will provide; hospitality training, cookery and employability skills. Their aim is they “want to see more people helped out of crisis and fewer people needing foodbanks in the future”.
